Független Pedagógiai Intézet

The Független Pedagógiai Intézet is a professional institution for further education in independent schools and kindergartens. It was established by the Founding Association of Private Schools. It supports teachers in an advisory capacity with expert help, assistance in applying for positions, further education and publication

The head of the institution and the teaching staff are recruited from former school and departmental heads working in the state educational system. The teaching and examination materials needed for the above work are put together in committees of authors, amongst whom the independent institute FÜPI takes the role of co-author and publisher.

The main tasks are educating teachers, the development of curriculum and pedagogical methods as well as textbook publishing. Moreover, the FUPI prepares quality management programmes and is a competent contact person in quality development 

FÜPI has already successfully taken part in COMENIUS projects, for instance, Absenteeism – Concepts, Strategies and Materials fighting truancy (112445-CP-1-2003-1-COMENIUS-C21).
