within the Comenius Network "Leadership in Education"
The federal conference within the framework of the network project “Leadership in Education” was opened on Monday, 21st February by the Education Minister of Lower Saxony Dr. Bernd Althusmann. 26 representatives from 16 Federal States followed the invitation of Dr. Althusmann and attended the well-organised conference.
The minister highlighted the relevance of this conference as an opportunity for exchange and possible collaboration and networking. As acting president of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic (KMK) he encouraged the exchange among the Federal States on working level not intending to overcoming federal structures. Dr. Althusmann approved of the necessity for the qualification of school heads as a major assignment.
